Meat Roll (MORCON-PHILIPPINES)


Ingredients:

1. 750 grams of lean beef, thinly spread
2. 3 tablespoons oil, for sauteing
3. 450 ml beef broth
4. 1 whole onion, thinly sliced ​​crosswise
5. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
6. 1 piece of cucumber, peeled, split in half, remove the contents,   sliced ​​crosswise 1 cm


7. 2 tablespoons lime juice
8. 1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in a little water
9. 1 leek finely sliced
10. 1 tomato, soaked boiling water, peeled, diced
11. ½ teaspoon salt
12. ¼ tsp pepper powder


Blend:

1. 2 cloves garlic
2. 2 large red chilies, seeded
3. 1 teaspoon salt

How to Make:

  • Dry the meat with a clean cloth. Brush one surface of the meat with the spice puree. Roll meat and tie with cotton yarn.
  • Saute meat rolls until brown, then pour the broth. Bring to a boil. Enter the onions and soy sauce.
  • Cover the pan tightly and cook over low heat until meat is tender. Lift the meat, insert the cucumber and lemon juice, cook until water boils. Give the cornstarch solution, stirring until thickened. Add salt and pepper, remove from heat.
  • Remove the yarn ties, slice meat crosswise. Place meat on a plate, flush with gravy. Sprinkle with scallions, tomatoes, coriander leaves. Serve hot.
